We entered the manufacturer and model number of our laptop and were given a part number. We ordered that part number and when it arrived it would not fit the laptop. This was an error of their web site but upon oontacting them we had to bear the cost of shipping and a "15% restocking fee". This was their error but yet we had to pay for it. This is little more than theft. We will never do business with this vender again and would recommend that you don't either.	Overall Rating

They are lie, they admit they lie, then they are rude. I would never buy anything from them. Website apparently set up to discourage anyone from getting a refund for defective equipment. I had other people look at their verification system (entering the alphanumeric to submit request): it rejects repeatedly. It took us about twenty-five attempts to get it to accept the verification code. Since then, of course, there's been no response from the company. I believe simplemicro is part vendor, part crook. Their site displayed 2 different Compaq compatable HSTNN-IB09 batteries, one of which listed my HP Pavilion DV4000 as compatable. I called to inquire and received jerklike abuse. A rude manager did tell me that if their website listed my machine, it would work. I ordered it, but it didn't work with my machine. In obtaining return info, I called twice, receiving another onslought of verbal abuse including the manager shouting at me "When are you going to stop calling us?" and insisted I was at fault and tried to charge a restocking fee. With the battery, I sent back a printout of their webpage showing their error, but in refunding my money, here is what they wrote as comments to PayPal - "customer ordered wrong product and insists it is our mistake, the returned battery charged OK and it is working great, we are credting fully even thou it is the customers fault clearly." Battery was dead on arrival but I didn't know for sure until I took the computer to the repair shop which was one week after I received the battery. DOA for credit has to be within the first 24hrs after receipt. Now I can't get a return for credit since I've exceeded the 24hrs. No order confirmation was ever received, no shipping documents. The only information sent from simplemicro was the shipping notification. Retailer Response (11/05/2006): We beg to disagree, but the above statement is totally wrong! We do not have the invoice number of the person who wrote the above review, so cannot check, but from what we see, it is either a mis-understanding or the review has been posted by one of our competitors. Our return policy is clearly posted on our website. We have a 30 day return policy. If returned within 7 days, there is 100% refund of the product purchase price, and after 7 days, but before 30 days, products can be returned, but there is a small re-stocking fee (15%). In the email I received back, the representative was incredibly short with me and the email they sent wasn't even capitalized correctly. I expect some degree of professionalism when I have a problem. I won't ever purchase anything from this site ever again, and I discourage others from buying as well. However, after I ordered I noticed that their website is rather insecure. If you have an account on their website, you can view your orders. You can also view everyone else's orders (and name and home address). No credit card numbers fortunately, but it still is completely unprofessional.
