Review: This unit is very well organized. The manual in detail-oriented. This is a fun machine. I got it to practice along with my bass and lead guitar, so my sounds will sound fuller. You can control your beats via 1 or 2 footswitches. There are 50 programmed presets and 50 user presets. Everywhere I checked, the Alesis SR-16 has received great reviews. Strengths: Sounds great, easy to use, made creating drum parts that sound realistic possible without using a drummer

Weaknesses: USB connection creates hum that records into recording program (though, this may be the computers fault)
