Description: The Addonics SATA II PCI-X family of controllers is one of the fastest SATA controllers in the market. Incorporating the latest SATA II ASIC from Silicon Image, the controller is designed to work with fast PCI-X BUS to ensure maximum data throughput of 3 Gbits/sec per port. The standard RAID controller allows 4 SATA/ SATA II hard drives to be configured as RAID 1, RAID 0, RAID 1+0, RAID 1+S or as 4 individual drives. Whereas the RAID5/JBOD controller supports configuration of RAID 1, RAID 0, RAID 1+0, RAID5 and JBOD that combine all drives into one large volume.With 4 drive stripped together (configured as RAID 0), throughput up to 200 Mbytes/sec can be achieved using standard 7, 000 RPM SATA hard drive.
