Description:  Cisco’s Catalyst 6000 Family Fast Ethernet switching modules offer a number of advanced features that make it easier to migrate to or implement a Fast Ethernet network. The 10/100 Fast Ethernet switching modules, for example, support autosensing/autonegotiation to determine the speed and duplex mode of the attached device. This Fast Ethernet switch module supports the telco RJ-21 interface. Customers can use category 3 through category 5 UTP cable or STP cable or multimode fiber (62.5/125 micron). All Fast Ethernet switching modules are hot swappable without interruption of the Catalyst 6000 Family switch.
