Description: APC offers the first uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with a USB port that is designed for Windows 98/2000 or Mac OS9 or higher. The Back-UPS Pro 500 is uniquely designed to improve your productivity by ensuring that your PC, internet connection and all of your peripherals are protected with high-performance surge suppression and intelligent battery backup. The unit has (7) NEMA 5-15 receptacles (4 with battery back-up, 3 with surge protection only) and provides protection for up to two telephone lines. The UPS continuously conditions the power coming into your computer, and instantly switches your computer to emergency battery backup power during brief power outages without data loss or downtime. The UPS is output power rated at 500VA (315W) and will power a Pentium II Tower with a 21" monitor for up to 8 minutes. The unit comes with APC's Power Management Extensions software.
