Description: The Catalyst 4003 Series Switch provides intelligent Layer 2 and Layer 3 services leveraging a 24 Gbps bandwidth architecture for 10/100/1000-Mbps Ethernet Switching. The Catalyst 4003 Chassis features a flexible three-slot modular chassis, with one slot reserved for a supervisor engine and two remaining slots for switched port modules, two power supply bays that support redundant (optional), load-sharing, fault-tolerant AC power supplies, a hot-swappable fan tray bay (supplied with fan assembly), and a familiar Catalyst 5500/5000 look and feel with consistent interfaces and indicators.The 4003 supports up to 96 10/100 Fast Ethernet ports, or up to 36 Gigabit Ethernet ports, and offers 18 million packets-per-second throughput, with 24 Gbps switching bandwidth.
