Description: The NetVanta 3200 Modular Access Router from Adtran is designed for easy Internet access, corporate Frame Relay, and point-to-point connectivity. The NetVanta 3200 is a single-slot, standalone unit in a plastic housing with interchangeable network interface module (NIM) slot. To enable operation in mixed Ethernet environments, the router includes autosensing 10/100Base-T interface. It supports static and default routes, and allows for fast, accurate network convergence using routing protocols such as OSPF and RIP. With built-in stateful inspection firewall, the 3200 delivers powerful, high-performance security. It examines all incoming and outgoing packets against the security policies established by the IT Manager. In addition, the firewall can identify and protect against common Denial of Service (DoS) attempts like TCP syn flooding, IP spoofing, ICMP redirect, ping-of-death, and IP reassembly problems. Support for IPSec VPN tunneling using DES/3DES/AES encryption provides secure corporate connectivity across the Internet. For even more security, the router has built-in alert and logging mechanisms to notify network administrators about suspicious activities going on in the network. For managing IP addresses, it also offers Network Address Translation (NAT/NAPT) for IP address concealment and conservation.
