Description:  The world’s best selling departmental server, the ProLiant 3000, delivers the ultimate combination of performance, fault tolerance, and expansion available in a departmental server. The secret behind the ProLiant 3000’s record breaking performance is support for up to 4GB of system memory and up to two 550 MHz Pentium III processors. Compaq is also offering a special, array model of the ProLiant 3000 that offers the ultimate in departmental expansion and fault tolerance, the ProLiant 3000 Array. This "array" model has all of the features customers expect from the ProLiant 3000 family, plus it will ship with 256 MB of system memory and Compaq’s Smart Array 3200 controller. The standard, Wide Ultra SCSI model will continue to ship without an Ultra2 controller.
